Has anyone checked out Wilfred, original or recent FX remake? Funny?

Been watching the FX version.  It's not bad.

Once I find the original one in full I'll be getting started on that and then moving on to the FX one.

Even with the Harry Dean Stanton factor, I dropped that one pretty early. I should try again?

Me too. It never really clicked with me.

Yep Big Love was really great. Touching, funny, and insightful about the supposed religious tolerance inherent in the US.

Not just Harry Dean Stanton, though. Grace Zabriskie, Bruce Dern, Ellen Burstyn, plus the core ensemble: all amazing... and it's damn funny.

I only watched Season 1 because of my thing for Jeanne Tripplehorn who is odd-attractive IMO and, of course, HDS.  First season didn't really hook me until the last two or three episodes. Continued to watch and it's Paxton's best work of his career.  I'd rank it as a second tier HBO series.  Didn't engage me enough as The Wire, The Sopranos, and Deadwood do.  Ginnifer Goodwin looks like a young old lady.

I quit halfway through season two.  My wife watched the whole thing though and likes it.

How many tiers do you have to go down before you get to John from Cincinnati?

I've never actually seen it.
