General reminder: at 12 EST on [adultswim] tonight "The Greatest Event In Television History" airs. It's not the same one as last year's "The Greatest Event In Television History" that was a fifteen minute special on the channel where Adam Scott and Jon Hamm did a shot by shot recreation of the introduction to Simon & Simon. Don't know what will happen on tonight's thirty minute installment, but it will involve Adam Scott and Amy Poehler doing something.
This was pretty good, but I liked the first one a bit more. It was also strange that they blocked out 30 minutes for this one because it really could have been fifteen. It ended up being about seventeen minutes until an extended post credits sequence with Nick Kroll happened. It was funny, but you know, it got my hopes up a bit too high.
Great call backs to jokes in the first (though few rivaled the greatness of the first special's), and I would definitely be down for a yearly special where Adam Scott and some other person recreates the title sequence from some 80's show. He and Poehler did the opening from
Hart to Hart last night. It's really fun to see their recreation at the very end followed by the original title sequences over the credits. They do a Hell of a job.
