Top Five Musical Sequences in a Non-Musical (Possible Spoilers)
« on: December 10, 2009, 06:25:56 AM »
I should clarify, by musical sequences I mean the use of specific songs within a non-musical (hence my inclusion of 'Layla' sequence in Goodfellas) whether it be within the context of a musically choreographed sequence, such as the one in Big Lebowski,  or not.

"Wise Up" from Magnolia:

Aimee Mann - Wise Up

"Hey Jude" and "Needle in the Hay" sequences from The Royal Tenenbaums

Royal Tenenbaums "Needle in the Hay"

"Layla"/Aftermath from Goodfellas:

GoodFellas Layla Scene

"Jai Ho" Closing Credit Sequence from Slumdog Millionaire

"Just Dropped In" from The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski - Gutterballs

#1- The Ride of the Valkyries. "We'll come in low out of the rising sun, and about a mile out we'll put on the music"
The other 3 are pretty good too- The End, Susie-q, Satisfaction.
