Sticking to diegetic sound:

The Madison in Band of Outsiders is my favorite.

Moon River in Breakfast at Tiffany's:

Crying in Mulholland Drive and Candy Colored Clown in Blue Velvet

The end of The Conversation

I really like the zither fight in Kung Fu Hustle

I don't quite know what's going on here but I went looking for the clip and this was there;

Which leads to this;

Sharing music;

Ive posted what I thought was the greatest opening sequence in a movie; Bullitt in the Derby. Then there's the Harmonica sequence in OUATITWest and then there's this, which works better with the fugue beforehand and turned up really loud,

http://youtu.be/e-QFj59PON4
It sets the film out as an opera which makes the silences even more deafening.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (opening credits) is a wonderful dolphin singing/danging thing.

There are so many that I won't even pretend these are necessarily the top 5 as of now, but I think they're all perfect. I went with a couple from the sixties and a few from modern times. Really though, I could go on and on with this topic. Come to think of it, I"ll be doing just that in my own brain as I pick the significant other up from work.

The Social Network- Mark Zuckerberg rejected and bitterly walking home to make history ("Hand Covers Bruise")
The Royal Tenenbaums- Margot's file ("Judy Is A Punk")
Before Sunset- "A Walts For A Night"
Killer of Sheep- Slow dancing in the bedroom ("This Bitter Earth")
Cria Cuervos- The three little girls dance in their room ("Porque Te Vas")

"I'm not sure."
