Amazon's Editors tell me this is the best book of the year. Anyone know anything about it? Also, what the Hell? Were the events in Man on Wire well known prior to the film's release? Thought it was just an historical footnote, but apparently this film makes heavy use of it? Maybe it's jsut spill over from the film? Either way, I am perplexed that an author would use that, and get acclaim, after the success of Man on Wire. Weird.

Interesting list. It reminds me that I should think about reading something published in this decade once in a while.

The only 2009 book I read this year was Brisingr by Christopher Paolini. It wasn't bad.
