Douglas Sirk Marathon

In light in the renew interest to 1950s melodrama
ie: The Brilliant Madmen  and the recent Revolutionary road
I thought its time to revisit the original master of the genre Douglas Sirk. He is from the cluster of German directors who escape the War and influenced old hollywood like Fritz Lang and Wilder yet his artistic direction can been seen still influencing directors of todayWong Kar-wai, Almodovar
All that Heavens Allows
Imitation of Life
All I Desire
Magnificent Obsession
Written on the Wind
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
~ Shakespeare from the play As You Like it (1623)

I'm not familiar with this work at all.  I'll be interested to read your write-ups.
