I thought this was an incredibly well-acted and well-directed little movie. The adaptation of the book is really impressive and the casting couldn't have been more right on. It always pains me to hear how few people liked/have seen this movie.

I film I always watch when it's on telly. I always think, 'no Bob, don't shoot... too late".
Sorry for the plot spoiler, folks

Funniest sence is when some lady gets shot by a shotgun and blown far away.

I agree, this is an overlooked gem. Early on the feeling of "this is going to end bad" kicks in and it gets worse and worse as things spiral out of control. It's superbly cast and perfectly directed. For a Raimi film it has a very strong Cohen Brother's vibe to it.

Yeah, I love this film. Have had it in my collection since it came out on DVD and tend to go back and watch it every couple years. The cast is great, story is perfectly executed and I really love the look.

I remember watching this on TV about 6 or 7 years ago. Great film. I do remember thinking that it had some similarities to Fargo for some reason. Need to watch it again to remind myself what gave me those thoughts.

It's in my Top 100. Glad it's getting some love here. (Except from
