You have to go to my blog to see. I'm lazy, year is ending.  :P

And thus, it ends.

Sam, I really like your selections this month.  As unique and somewhat narrow as your appreciation runs, there's a really wide variety of good/great films listed.  And I shouldn't say 'narrow'.  It's probably more accurate to say there are far fewer movies being made that suit your tastes, which is a shame.  We should all have a plentiful supply of the types of films we like.  (Imagine if Malick made films at the pace of Woody Allen.)

Without listing everything for the last couple of months, just the top few:

Best of the Month Of November (not including previously watched films)
1   The Good, the Bad, and the Weird
2   The Last of the Mohicans
3   The Bow
4   Frozen River
5   Samaritan Girl

Best of the Month Of December (not including previously watched films)
1   Time
2   Social Network
3   Triangle
4   Animal Kingdom
5   Catfish

I did much better then I thought I would having watching 240 films during the year.  I know it is a bit more then then, I got lazy tracking from time to time and had to go off what I could remember.  As well as I probably ended up watching Kick Ass a few more times then I listed, but hey, I can't always get friends to watch the normal depressing things I watch so they ask for something fun.

Completely unintentionally, the last movie I watched in 2010, Double Indemnity, was also the first movie I had watched this year. I really like it, though - creates nice bookends for a year of discovery of classic film.

For the year, I have recorded 191 films seen for the first time. While I see some of you are watching even more than that, I feel it's a bit too many for me. As I haven't gotten to see many films lately, here's a Top 10 from Nov. and Dec. combined.

1. For All Mankind
2. Sherlock Jr.
3. Toy Story 3
4. Some Like It Hot
5. The Thin Man
6. Three Kings
7. McCabe & Mrs. Miller
8. The Player
9. Sleepwalk
10. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
