Believe it or not, that is the first time I've heard Simple Twist of Fate. Highly relatable words.

I'm sure it's why he's so loved.

Saw Migos the other night. It was a lot of fun, though they did a lot of YRN2 and not enough YRN or NL2, but still a great show.

The Franklin Institute (one of the science center/museums in Philly) does a science after hours thing once a month. This month has a musical theme and featured some live performances including Low Cut Connie playing in the planetarium with some fun down projection. One of the more intimate and unique shows I've seen and included a great cover and sing along of "Suffragette City".

Saw Brandi Carlile tonight, second time for me. I think she's my favorite live performer. There are people whose music I like better, but none are quite so able to make the songs I might be mixed about listening on my iPhone stand out as special. The venue was really nice, my first time there. Hope to go to a few more things before I head out of town next year.

Last Thursday was M83/Tame Impala at Merriweather Post Pavillion - solid show, but odd that the higher energy M83 went first. Though the crowd was more there for TI... not gotten that much of a contact high even at bonnaroo!

Monday. The Cure. Madison Square Garden. Epic.

4 encores? Half their show was encores. Seems a little conceited.

haha. yeah, they're planned breaks but they put on a 3 hour show spanning 40 years of output so I'm ok with it.

Last month, I caught up with a couple of bands I love.

The first was Lucius, a fun pop band.

The second was my favorite folk group, Over the Rhine.
