Coogan's performance in that film is the comedic equivalent of DDL in There Will Be Blood.

Minority opinion that I hold very strongly: Javier Bardem and Tommy Lee Jones are co-leads in No Country For Old Men.  I used to think Brolin was one also but I now think he has a major supporting role (not a co-leading role, barely).

These picks stood out for me.  I really like Emile Hirsch in Into the Wild, but I'm not sure it's QUITE good enough to make my list of 20.  Maybe.  Espeically those bits towards the end.
