Yeah, there will be a little overlap (Pan's, Spirited Away,...etc.) but the best film list will mostly be English language.

I will be shocked we dont' get at least 3 of the top 20 and 9 of the top 50 best films foreign language.  And ya' know - that probably not a terrible ratio.

Kind of an odd side eligibility issue. I, and I assume many to most of us, watched Spirited Away with English dubbing. So would I consider it a foreign language film? I say yes certainly when it comes to eligibility but even though it is one of my favorite films ever, I might not vote for it here because my engagement with it is not as a foreign language film.

Waltz with Bashir should handily win the best documentary, best animated, best foreign, and best film.
