Speaking of dictation double-shots, Steven O. is planning on watching Let The Right One In in addition to my main dictation of Children of Men.

I don't him not to blink from the moment you see a ping pong ball till there is a cut.  We'll see how he does.

I take no responsibility for any eye damage caused by such an attempt.

My disdain in the film lies in the portrayal of McCandless.  I won't get into it, it is well documented all over the boards how I feel about Into the Wild, maybe when we get Dr. K's review I will get into it a bit more.

I'm very curious to discuss this subject more as well.  There is a spoiler thread, but if I recall it doesn't start with "i"

I could be wrong but I think its titled: Sean Penn's Into the Wild

Yep, locked in the basement but without a leash. I want her to be able to move around in the dark without tripping over the chain. Plus, she loves when I talk for her. I'm sure she would comment on this but oh, she's on 999 posts. Aww, too bad. HAR HAR HAR!

Ps. About Into the Wild. I haven't read the book yet but I'm not sure if I should anyway. A book is a book and a movie is a movie. It's a simple truth. Each medium has its specific language and tools for conveying information. There is a section of they share which (imho) shouldn't be the focus of a review. I'm not a fan of cross-media comparison and I try to avoid it whenever possible. The question is what exactly it is you are reviewing. Is it the movie or the material including all its forms of presentation?

I haven't read the book myself. You'll do fine without it. Sean Penn will guide you! :D

I think it is problem for me because with Into the Wild we are dealing with a real person and real events, and because of the subject matter too.
