Prince of Persian Sands of Time

C-

The search for the great video game-to-movie adaptation continues... Nice visuals, bla, bla, bla, Gyllenhaal's accent sounds funny... Gemma Arterton's best performance is still in Quantum of Solace...why is Ben Kinglsey in this?

Ben Kingsley is to video game movies what Orson Welles is to cheap wine and canned peas commercials.  Who else could emote the unique blend of humiliation and drunken stupor he brought to his role in Uwe Boll's Bloodrayne?  Seriously, after someone stars in a Boll picture AND The Love Guru, being cast in a large budget video game movie is considered a career renaissance.
I’ve lied to men who wear belts. I’ve lied to men who wear suspenders. But I’d never be so stupid as to lie to a man who wears both a belt and suspenders.

Let Me In.

Like the Swedish original but way better. Placing it in New Mexico makes perfect sense and upping the scares (and the CGI for that scene with the gerbils (and why did they change that from cats? Oh, right, because it was more awesome)) really makes this movie tick. Also, they now explain that the main character is a Sweet Transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania, which is nice.

Milkshake.

That's the point of this thread though. And I think the location of my tongue was pretty obvious.

Toy Story 3

Pixar does it again.

One of my Top 100 films of this decade.

Toy Story 3

Disappointing. Can't believe the 3-D wave is still rolling. Wish they would have stopped after the first one. Feel like an outsider/loner/hater for not being into everyone's "nostalgia porn." Wish I'd watched one of my bootleg Rainbow Brite dvds instead.

I'm just trying to figure out what CWaCoM is. Consumers Want a Culture of Meaninglessness? Cat with a Cup of Milk? No Country for Old Men?

Feel I am missing something obvious.
