They've been showing this recently on the movie channels, i suppose since Robert Urich died. This may be one of my favorite New Hollywood films. I love films like this that deal with situations that movies rarely explore. I know a lot of people have griped about the ending being too philosophical but i loved it and thought it was one of the best film endings of the 60's. I also thought the ending was a great way to end that decade.

Its really gets over shadowed with Easy Rider, since they both came out the same year. It deserves just as much recognition in the tidal wave that would define New Hollywood and the decade to come.
