I want to clarify, I don't hate TWBB, I greatly dislike Dano's attempt at a performance, I simply find it to be only a good film, and easily the worst of all of PTA's work.

life got too busy and I never submitted anything, but right now (11 movies present) there are 7 that would have been among my top 50, 2 "mhehs", and two I wouldve voted against to game the list a bit.

one of my dad's favorite lines growing up was "the world is run by people who show up for the meeting".  Not sure what made me think of that?  ;)

There Will Be Blood was on my ballot. I think I'm up to 3 now.

There Will Be Blood, really on its own mantle along with Pulp Fiction, Raging Bull, The Godfather, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Seven Samurai & Citizen Kane, THE FILM OF THE DECADE.

We've chosen the wrong PTA film (unless it shows up later)

Punch-Drunk Love
(Paul Thomas Anderson, 2002)

Quote from: StarCarly
A 95 minute excuse to play with color, in a good way. It's so beautiful and surprisingly moving.

I stumbled on this having no idea who PTA was and was expecting a "50-First Dates" banal comedy - and was FLOORED.  Love this film.

This was delightful and terrific. Just outstanding film making. The tone, the acting, the dialogue, the camera, it all seemed right for the story that PTA was telling here. It was comedic at all the right times, moving and stirring and jarring at the right times too. It was just a lot of fun to watch!

Yet another PT Anderson film that I really loved.

Quote from: Holly Harry
This might just be my #1 of the decade.

Wasn't on my list, but yay!

We've chosen the wrong PTA film (unless it shows up later)

That was a short lived mystery.
