I haven't seen it, but everyone I talk to says I need to.  Might be time to lift my lifetime bam on zombie movies.

As a lover of them I have to ask, why the ban?

Made my ballot as well.

Some of the sharpest comedy ever put to film and just damn good filmmaking besides.

Also, you haven't seen this yet, ferris!????!!! Does your cave have a dvd player? I'll mail you my copy right now!

It was something I said out-loud 20 minutes into a film staring Brendan Fraser. I've arbitrarily maintained the ban ever since for no good reason at all.

I have seen Hot Fuzz though - so I have a feeling what I'd be in for....

I am not interested in comedy recommendations from anybody who doesn't like Shaun of the Dead. :)

ferris, did you like Hot Fuzz? It will give you an idea of what to expect, but I still think it has nothing on Shaun. You don't even need to be a zombie fan for it to work.

Hot Fuzz was hit and miss for me...I'm told Shaun is far more consistent...

And no -I'm not the guy to get comedy recommendations from.  I laughed all through Encounters at the End of the World and only once during Knocked Up and 40-year old virgin combined

Shawn is pretty inconsistent IMHO. The last act pretty much betrays the entirety of the rest of the film by trying to be a gritty and serious zombie film.
