I plan on joining for the movies part as well since I have typically rewatched them all prior to each new theatrical release. I've listened to all the books on tape a great number of times so I can probably partake in analysis of the adaptation as well.

Also, too, I would even consider going along with the books but I have the first six on tapebook rather than CD book and the only cassette player I own at this point is my car.

So is this a book, film, book, film, book, film thing? Or is it a book, book, book, film, film, film thing?

I've been itching for some kind of group marathon - this'll be fun! I'll do my best to re-read and re-watch along with ya'll.

Can we assume spoilers for the entire series? Is anybody reading/watching for the first time?

I would assume spoilers unless someone is against it. And to answer your question as for the format, book, film, then next book, next film. The way I was going to format my writeups was a review of the book, a review of the movie, then how the movie did on the book. So they would all be included.

And since we are having more people, the timetable may need to become more concrete and less flexible. So perhaps we should discuss that, unless everyone is okay with things coming in whenever, whether they're out of order or not, but personally I would like it to be ordered. But since we are reading books too, I think the window should be fairly wide for each installment. What does everyone else think?

I personally don't care about how ordered it is. Maybe an index in the first post with links to each person's reviews to keep track better.

It'd be easiest to assume spoilers for the entire series, but it'd be cool to keep references to later books spoiler free if there is anybody participating who hasn't read them all. (I'd actually love to have someone along for the ride who doesn't know the ending(s). Whom can we recruit? :) )

Maybe we could just assume spoilers for each individual book/movie write-up but not for the entire series at first, but if it seems unnecessary at some point, we could start spoiling everything?
