i enjoyed it a lot at the time, but the more i think about it, the less i remember of it. i recall there was a lot of existentialist themes, or something along those lines.  there were points that it ran a bit too quirky for my taste, as most jason schwartzman movies do. but, all in all, it was a good time.

It could've been good.  And should've been good.  But, well, at least it gave us this:

I thought I hated Jason Schwartzman until I saw this movie. I thought it was so unique and clever without talking down to the audience. I like it less each time I see it, but it would still be in my top 100.

Well I waited long enough. I guess I'm the loner that didn't think this movie was worth the DVD it was burned on.

Maybe I "don't get it" but I don't recall laughing once except maybe during the "I Heart F*ckabees!" line. The only part I found sad, yet interesting, was when they played back to Jude Law all the times he told the tuna salad story. Besides that, I didn't care about any of the characters and seeing Jason Schwartzman breastfeed was quite disturbing.

I tried to find the scene in Family Guy when Stewie is being pulled through a vortex in his closet and as he's sucked in he yells, "Well at least this doesn't suck as much as I Heart Huckabees..."  :D

Just rewatched it lately on DVD.
