I believe Cloak and Dagger from Fritz Lang came out that year, not that it would get my vote.

Also It Rains on our Love AKA Man with an Umbrella AKA Det regnar på vår kärlek by Ingmar Bergman, which I have not seen - has anyone?

Wow, the 1940s really were a wasteland for cinema. In the five year set of polls, It's A Wonderful Life is the only film I have even an inclination of desire to vote for. Granted, I haven't seen 90% of them.

I would be tempted to vote for The Great Piggy Bank Robbery, but it's gotta be My Darling Clementine.

Pretty much all the movies I want to see are from this era.

It's the new world order.

I've Always Loved You should be on the list. What other movie features a 20 minute segment of people playing the piano and looking passionately/angrily at each other? NO OTHER MOVIE.
