The FLY Files takes a look at a photo I love as I hit the two week mark.

This post is kind of short, but it's one of my favorite so far, I think. Enjoy.

You knew Sam wouldn't be able to resist the Malick for long.

He's written a new Double Vision. This week it's Saving Private Ryan, The Thin Red Line and the Nature of War at TheReelists

But at least I got some Spielberg in there too, right?  ;)

I dunno if I'll write about another Malick film for this column, but Spielberg is certainly a possibility.

You could always do the Badlands/True Romance thing.

But yeah, Spielberg has an advantage with more films to his name.

Ooh boy, you have to watch it then. It even lifts the music from Badlands. Of course it's a totally different movie. Tarantino filtered through Tony Scott.

The New World and Pocahontas.
That's not even a comparison I want to begin to make.  :P

It's on my list, but my dislike of Tony Scott overwhelms my like for QT at the moment.

You should do it, seeing as how Pocahontas is not only the better movie but does a far better job of portraying the native culture of the film as realistic.
