90s Far East Bracket: Rajio No Jikan (Welcome back, Mr. McDonald, 1997)

I agree with your assessment.  "A very pleasant movie and an enjoyable experience" just about sums it up.

Every Day A Photo: Blown Out.

As it says in the title, this one is a bit blown out. I like the effect, though.

Benefits of a Classical Education: BJ - Prince of the Underworld

Whetting your appetites with an old short story of mine. I'd love any feedback.

Welcome to Name That Film: V

Don't know #1 although it may come to me later
#2 and #3 are in my top 100 (this isn't really a spoiler since my top 100 has had changes since I posted it last year)
pretty sure I know what the bonus is

As for round W, I knew When Harry Met Sally and Wings of Desire.  Should've guessed #1 but I couldn't think of the title.

A little disjointed, with perhaps a tad too much information jammed casually in the corners; but overall, not bad.

Are you familiar with Shalom Auslander? Your writing--based on the two pieces I've read--reminds me of him, grounded in Max Barry characters.

Thanks. I'd agree with you on your criticisms. I think the disjointed nature comes from a lack of editing. I never really edited in college and it probably shows. I'll look into those two authors you mention, too. Thank's for taking the time!

Maybe i'll start new thread where people can put up their points (after seeing the answers in my blog/but not posting answers in the thread)?
We can see who's winning. Although, it's really not fair within this kind of forum--filmspotting--"...fish in a barrel."
I'll just need to figure out where to put the thread (me being new at this and all).  :)

So far, you would have 3 points for W (if you got #2 and the bonus).
my gf couldn't remember the name of #1 either and we just gave the bluray to a friend as a birthday gift (last week).
i don't know what your scores are for X, Y, Z (V will be revealed later today, 7/2/11) so i can't compute your total score at the moment.
