You can get a good DVD for a reasonable price of Voyage in Italy at amazon.uk, shipping to the US isn't that expensive and most every DVD player can easily be made region-free.

i know , its a BFI collection too (probably good quality)...this is one of those that i wish they released in the US based on principle (what principle exactly, i don't know?). i remember waiting for the conformist to come on dvd in the US for like forever.

i have purchased 3 amazon.uk dvds ever, rancho notorious, johnny guitar, and...delicatessan? hmmm...i think my brother got me rohmer's rendevous in paris (when he traveled to france)...i told him to get me an eric rohmer film, and of course, he got me one with no subtitles (but i've seen it on video). :)

my 1 memorex player that i made region free has probably been used 5 times ever...lol.

Top 5 Movies I Want to See But Are Not Easily Available (DVD or Bluray)  --  in the US
http://harveyshome.blogspot.com/2011/08/top-5-movies-i-want-to-see-but-are-not.html

cheers,
My first thought was Love Exposure, but I figured you wouldn't have Love Exposure. Then you did did have Love Exposure so I was happy.

Right now I'm very frustrated with looking for Eric Rohmer's A Summer's Tale. It's my Dictation from PeacefulAnarchy.

This week I wrote an article about TV and condensed time lines- the pros and cons and what this format change means for the medium.

Glad you enjoyed it.  I love the Morricone score and the card catalog of underworld specialists, including "military", "tipsters" and "homosexuals".

It was a lot of fun. You're right about the score, and that scene with the card catalog is classic.
