I'm going to need this space for gushing. If you haven't started watching yet, you can do so here.

Yes.  Awesomeness.

The wife and I are apparently the only people who loved Lucky Louie, but I'd still say it's one of the top 5-10 funniest single seasons of any show of the 2000s.

I've loved a lot of TV comedy in the last few years, but Louie is probably the most excited I've been about a new comedy since season 1 of Arrested Development.

I love the opening credits of this show. Dude rides public trans, eats a slice of pizza, and heads to the comedy club. Hey! Our lives are similar!

"Heckler/Cop Movie"

So, that was a pretty mild heckle, and then Louie essentially turns the show into the heckle. This kind of became one of the preachy bits of the show that I'm not so into. Actually, my favorite parts of the show involve Louie not talking, just looking at his expressions. He's a pretty great silent actor.

:D :D :D @ The Godfather "set two years into the future and it's all Jews." Gerry Vichi playing Simon the agent is fantastically hilarious. I love how he says "NO!! YOU'RE DOING IT!!"

"Am I one of the Jews?" also got a big laugh from me. And Broderick played off of that just right. And the face. See. These are the expressions I'm talking about. Oh, man. Acting is silly. I like the way Broderick utters "comedian" as if it's the dirtiest thing in the world to be. It is. Hoorah!

The heckle scene didn't quite land for me 'cause his response wasn't at all proportional.

That's what I love about the show. Louie can be so right and so wrong at the same time.

I thought the response was fine.  She interrupted the show twice, it wasn't until the second time that he went all the way.

The whole thing played as a stand-up wish-fulfillment anyway, and that doesn't bother me.

Hmm, I guess, she was just too modest a foe for that to work for me.

I thought his speech outside the club about "this is all us comedians have" was kind of embarrassing.

I love this show but this was definitely my least favourite so far.

Yeah, but I think you missed the fact that he wasn't being honest about it. They even joked after she left that he was "this close" to winning her over and having her buy him a drink.
