3rd Annual Filmspotters Top 100 - Comments

Voting opens today!

You have just under 5 weeks to get your votes in.  In the case of remakes, please put the year after; i.e. Casino Royale (2006)

As with last year, the vote scale will remain as follows:

1 = 17 points
2-5 = 15 points
6-10 = 14 points
11-20 = 12 points
21-30 = 10 points
31-40 = 8 points
41-60 = 6 points
61-80 = 4 points
81-100 = 2 points

Voting closes September 3rd 2010 at 23:59EST

Oh man. I've got lots of work in front of me. I fully expect my list this year to be nothing like it was last year.

So far, I only have 11 potential additions, but after this month, I might bump it up to 12.

Hmm, going through the spreadsheet I found two things.

1. AI has three different entries.
2. There are 99 films that received a vote that I would consider competitive for my top-100. At least half are already on it and probably a quarter won't really make it. That's a good space for films that I can be that one vote this year.

For tabulating purposes I'm assuming it's easier if ballots are formatted like so:

The Land Before Time
and not
Land Before Time, The


Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
and not
Wo hu cang long
