Never seen or heard of Wages of Fear. I shall check it out.

As for Verbals movies- I'll be damned but a lot of those just missed my list. Especially Training Day, Hustle and Flow, and Miller's Crossing. Heat did make it and that shootout sequence is perfect.

Interestingly enough, my favorite scenes from Heat are the ones where De Niro and Pacino's characters occupy the same space (not necessarily appearing in the same shot). I didn't need to see the two titans in the same image to really enjoy the movie as the acting jobs they do convince me that the two are facing off against each other in the here and now.

As I do preliminary work I tend to notice that my list will be considerably different than last year's, but also pretty similar.
