What do people predict will be the ratio of male performances to female performances in the Top 100? I'm guessing 70-30.

I guess 80-20. I don't remember there being a lot of female performances that showed up on multiple lists.

Did you make a list?

Did you make a list?

Trying to work on one. Seems rather daunting, though.

That's why I stuck to twelve, cause it seemed like anymore was too much, and cause I'm not a huge performances guy.

I think 4/12 female is solid, a good third, specially since they filled up my number 2 and 3 slots.

I actually consider a lot of movies to be life-changing! I take them to my heart and they melt into my personality.

4:1

The compiled list will be, like, 95% white, though.  I'm not excluding myself; my list is mostly made up of white Euros and Americans.

and cause I'm not a huge performances guy.

What's the reason?

This isn't directed at you, but just throwing my feelings out there: a great deal of my absolute favorite moments in film have a whole lot to do with transcendent/amazing/emotional/etc. moments in acting.  I truly admire the talented performers.

Just did a diversity check on my list:

44% female
36% non-English speaking
13% non-Caucasian

In my top 10:

50% female
40% non-English speaking
10% non-Caucasian

Why am I such a nerd for statistics?

I'm definitely in with the not a huge performances guy category. I think my top performances list contains good actors to be sure, but I'd tend to credit the scripts at least as much. There are a lot more cases of a performance ruining a movie for me (TWBB) than a performance making the movie. Good acting to me is merely not ruining a movie that otherwise has all the components necessary to be great.

Anyway, my list is something like 20% female, 5% non-white...though in the case of the females they are proportionately more toward the top.

So it's like the common belief on sports refs? If you notice them it's because they're ruining the game?

Yep, good analogy.

Is this deadline passed? Or was it delayed till next year? I think doing this and the Directors at the same time was overwhelming.
