Finale was a bit of a let down for me, especially after the brilliant episode the week before. Apparently the AV Club loved the finale, but I thought it all felt too predictable and meandering. The reveals were apparent early on, perhaps designed that way but still, and while I did really enjoy it I can't help but feel like it felt kind of unnecessary after the previous episode.

I don't hold Season 1 in as high regard as others, but the brilliant part of that conclusion was the uncertainty. For the most part this one is a bit more clear cut. There mystery is still there, but a more definitive sense of what is going to happen seems to exist. It works a great tone, and the camera work even when not DGG directed is great, even the emotion paid off enough, it just struck me as mostly distant.

Regardless, great show and I can't wait for Season 3.

I loved season 1. I tried watching season 2 but couldn't get into it. I guess I liked the plot of him being a gym teacher more than him playing for a Mexican baseball team. I don't know, I only watched the first few episodes, so maybe I give it a chance in the future.

Why does this thread have only the one page? Disgraceful...

It's not about playing for a Mexican baseball team, it's about finding out that he's a tits man!

And by that I mean, not as good as an (overrated) Albert Brooks comedy.  :)
