I'm the only vote for Los Olvidados? Weird.

I like Andalou almost as much. Don't have much use for The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, Viridiana, or That Obscure Object of Desire. Phantom of Liberty was okay, from what little I remember. Same with L'age d'or. Simon of the Desert is up next.

Viridiana (1961)

There are a lot of moments I like in this film, the middle section is sweet and funny, you see Viridiana is doing her best to do something good and charitable out of a terrible situation. Sure, she's a bit naive, but her heart is in the right place. But then the last act comes and the film says, to hell with that, Viridiana isn't just naive, she's a fool and unable to see the people around her for what they are and what she is and I just found it all to be a bit too mean-spirited. Perhaps it has to do with the tonal shift of the film, the first act, and even the second act, are mostly played straight, but the last act dips into the satire you'd expect from a Bunuel story.

I like the straight story, it builds to this idea of helping others and then shows how not everyone is going to react with gratefulness. I don't think you need to make the satire to hammer that point home, I think it comes across as too much on the other end of the spectrum, where everyone is just a raving dog waiting to abuse people as soon as they can.

I didn't think it was a film about doing good and helping others. I thought it was a film about faith. I didn't think she was naive, I thought she had no choice but to follow her faith. Of course, she is made to look foolish, when the world treats her so roughly. As a testament to faith, this is the most brutal examination of it I could imagine; except, of course, being nailed to a cross and dying for everybody elses' sins. I'm not religious, but I think faith is an astonishing thing, quite gobsmacking.

Voted for Un chien andalou (1929) the only one I have seen. The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie is sitting on my shelf waiting for a watch.
