Sweet Land Trailer
I just discovered this film. Saw the trailer 2005 never played in Australia. Bought the dvd a couple of years back and I am disappointed that I did not watch it sooner. First 10 minutes there is an interlapping narravative of 3 storylines but it is when storyline set in the 1920s  that takes hold does the film comes to its own. The evocative cinematography is on parr to any of  Mallick film. Has anyone else seen it?

Sweet Land was on my top-10 for the year it came out. As someone whose family were Norwegian farmers in Minnesota at the time shown in the film it definitely resonated for me.

This film is on my Netflix instant queue.  I've always been curious about it and on your recommendation will finally watch it...even though I'm not Norwegian nor a farmer.:)
