So, I finally get a directors and performances list done, and then this comes up! Meh. I can't be bothered.

For those feeling a similar sense of list burnout (trust me, I understand but it seems like there will always be more lists whether or not I get mine in) I just want to say that you can participate in the second part even without submitting a list. Obviously I'd like to make the fixed list of 150 or so titles be as representative as possible so getting good participation would be nice, but I'm really hoping that I can get a lot of people to participate in at least rating those from the fixed list they've seen...I think that is a lot less time consuming way to contribute to the list.

Using Criticker makes generating personal lists like this very easy.  Believe me, I don't have a whole bunch of lists sitting around, I just go to Criticker and filter by genre (or director, year, country, whatever I'm ranking).

The funny thing is that Criticker is supposed to be for generating recommendations, but I've never used it for that.  I already have a ton of movies I want to see.  I just use it to keep track of what I've seen and how much I liked it.

Fast Cheap and Out of Control will make my list along with most Morris documentaries.
I’ve lied to men who wear belts. I’ve lied to men who wear suspenders. But I’d never be so stupid as to lie to a man who wears both a belt and suspenders.

That's a film that won't make my list but will still receive a pretty high vote from me (a 7) in the second round of voting. That's one of the reason I like this system. Even though a film isn't in my own personal top 100, I still get to have a say in where it appears in our collective Top 100. Good job, Bondo!

I think people know what I voted for. Good luck with the list to all those involved, I wish you well, but I won't be participating.

I remember you finding some merit in Style Wars.  Have you seen other hip hop docs like Scratch?  I know I could perform a search but I'm lazy.  Plus, this is the 404 Error Era.

I did like Style Wars, just wish it had been more focused. Can't say I've ever seen any other hip hop docs though.
