I've just been going through the short list, looking up on imdb all the docs I haven't seen, trying to prioritize my list. I came across The Century of Self and realized I've seen another doc by the same guy that I found very thought provoking and is done in much the same style called The Trap: What Happened to Our Dream of Freedom. It presents a lot of provocative ideas that you may want to take with a grain of salt. Nevertheless it's a compelling watch.

I'll definitely have to make time for Century of Self.

I'll make the ballot public in early April.

I think I'm at 27.

I'll try to catch at least 10 before voting.

BTW, will the Up series count as one, or will each film be counted separately?

The UP series is being considered as a single entity.

This is Adam Curtis. His Power of Nightmares is also on the list.

What's the consensus on him? Is he respected or kind of marginalized as a kook?

They're all basically the same bloody thing. Also, they were only nominated as a series (on the strength of two voters). I just figure if you consider them separately they either split their own vote and don't get nominated or hog the spots on the list.
