11 films I'll rate 10.0
19 films I'll rate 9.0
17 films I'll rate 8.0
16 films I'll rate 7.0
9 films I'll rate 6.0
7 films I'll rate 5.0
3 films I'll rate 4.0
1 film I'll rate 3.0
1 film I'll rate 1.0
5 films I'd like to rewatch before rating

89 seen so far

10: 4
9: 4
8: 18
7: 25
6: 14
5: 11
4: 6
3: 2
2: 4
1: 1

Might have to practice a little grade inflation because I think my rating style tends to be a bit stricter than some.

next time I wanna see more votes for the Zapruder film.

I have no idea if I've seen the whole film or not. *checks* Is it really only 26.6 seconds long? Hmm, then yeah, I guess I could have voted for it.

pixote

yeah, if you've seen JFK I think you've seen it in its entirety and a certain segment at least several times more than that

Zapruder didnt seem documentary enough to me.

Got some homework...I also will need to exercise some point inflation.

Whens the deadline for scoring movies Ive seen?

I reckon we post the link to the form on 4/8 and have submissions due by 4/16 with an eye toward announcing the final list by the end of April. So you've got a month left to catch up on things.

Wait, everyone's Top 5 made the shortlist. So you're saying your fifth favorite doc of all time is only a 9?

Yep. 10 is reserved for a top-150 kind of film and I'd only have 4 docs in that range. Also, 10 is apparently a useless rating for me, hence the need for grade inflation. :) I did lose a lot of my 9/10 docs when we reset the shortlist.

lol, Ted was good. Crazy Love, on the other hand, is maybe my least favorite doc of all time.

Phew.

I've never heard of Crazy Love. I assume it's about the making of a Michael Buble album, which sounds really scary.
