9. The Collector[/b] (assuming this is Rohmer's La Collectionneuse... otherwise, haven't seen it)

Going by his Peeping Tom write-up, I think 1SO is talking about Wyler's The Collector.

I'll be referring back to this poll for MDC selections.

9. The Collector[/b] (assuming this is Rohmer's La Collectionneuse... otherwise, haven't seen it)
It's this.

Pixote - Haven't seen it... yet.  It's on the TSPDT 1000 list, so I'll get to it eventually.
This is one I'll really push for more people to watch, and if it ever gets a proper DVD release you'll get sick of hearing me recommend it.

A mighty fine list.
Thanks.  Can't wait to louse it up with more personal, nostalgia picks.

I just reviewed the next two Doinel films, please tell me what you think.
Just read those today.  Very excited.  I've only seen 3 Truffaut, and I love them all.  My Top 100 may contain 2 of them.  I should watch the Doinel series.  One thing that struck me by the end of 400 Blows was how much I want to spend more time with Antonie.  I want to know what happens to him in life.

Antoine et Collette, Stolen Kisses and Bed & Board are all fantastic.  Love on the Run is (rightfully) maligned for its frequent flashbacks to previous films, but it brings enough new stuff to the table to be pretty enjoyable.  I think it makes for a nice end to the series.

The Best Years of Our Lives

And it's not close (excluding ones I haven't seen obviously).

I've only seen McCabe And Mrs. Miller, Paths Of Glory, and The 400 Blows. McCabe And Mrs. Miller is the best of those three.
