My supervisor just go blasted by a client because her cruise was canceled. This was due to the ship sinking off the island of Giglio. Yup, it was that ship that she was booked on. She went nuts because the cruise line is more concerned with the passengers still on the ship than with reimbursing her with another cruise. She stated that it was unfair and that the Costa didn't care about ruining her holiday....unbelievable.

I remember reading it first in early high school - and discussing irony.

Is it still taught?

It came up when I was mentioning how it use to be a staple of high school English classes but some friends said nobody had ever heard of it.
