I can't use my old username anymore - someone else took Tim whilst I was busy being Orlando.

My brother got married on Van Island, so we were there for about four days, but we spent some time in Langley and Vancouver before that, and went down to Seattle for a couple days afterward. Good times. As someone who lives in a completely landlocked province, I love the coast.

Huh, they don't have the internet up there?  You would have thought they did. ;)

Is it ever okay to hurt someone's feelings?

I have a friend who is hooking up with a married man. She's done it before many times, then stopped. Now she's doing it again. I care about this person, so I told her that she is a hooker and when she said that she hated herself I told her that she should hate herself. I feel like I was cruel to her, but then again, that's how I feel.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like your friend has problems with her self-esteem. She'd probably benefit more from you helping her rather than re-enforcing her own negative feelings. Sometimes (often) it's not a good time to tell a person how you really feel about a situation. This isn't about you getting the truth out there, it's about this destructive need she has and figuring out why it drives her. Positive change can only come from a positive direction.
