A bit disappointed to see someone with only 2 films (Lynne Ramsay) in the list, and they are higher than Peter Weir who has at least 3 great films. Otherwise the list is looking great.

What's the rationale behind the bolded titles?

Sorry I didn't get a list in.  Just ran out of time.

Love that less iconic screenshots (or screenshots from the comparatively lesser known films) are being chosen for many of the entries.  The One from the Heart screenshot made my day!  Kudos for going with The School of Rock and Me and Orson Welles as well.

@Clovis: Wong Kar-Wai is on the list...

Anyway, for the most part the directors I would have expected to make it made it...my list had enough new/obscure filmmakers that I wasn't expecting most of them to. Still a bit bummed that some like Koreeda and the Kims didn't sneak in.

I've got 8 directors I need to watch a first film from.
