« on: December 27, 2010, 01:43:59 PM »
There are 4 really strong selections (my 1-3 & #5), but I wanted to add some other choices.  My tops would be...

1. Inception
2. True Grit
3. Tree Of Life
4. Tron: Legacy
5. The Social Network
6. Black Swan
7. Cowboys And Aliens
8. Enter The Void
9. Iron Man 2
10. Deathly Hallows Pt. 1
11. Winnie The Pooh
12. Never Let Me Go

The Social Network is my clear #1.

I thought True Grit was terrible in that it basically just showed me the entire movie.

Except the trailer made it look much more bad ass.

I'd knock The King's Speech trailer hardest for ruining the film.

Heh, fair enough, I guess the quality of a trailer isn't in allowing the film itself to be enjoyed so much as being enjoyed on its own merits, so my complaint need not factor in.

Wut? There wasn't even a shot of the epic bearskin man. The film was way more badass than the trailer.

I went with The Social Network because it was the only one that didn't give away a ton of the movie. Inception would be it had they not put in the zero gravity fight scene in the trailer.

Watch the trailer again.  Bearskin man appears at the 2-minute mark, just before Matt Damon's credit.

I don't know which trailer I saw but I don't remember it being in mine. I tend to suppress trailers though, as they consistently ruin movies.
