What Else Are You Watching/Listening To?

TV, podcasts, talk-radio... Anything but movies and music.
I think I'd love how awkward it'd be, or how awkward it should be.

The Pacific, ep.1

This is total Emmy-bait. I'm not sure why I'm even watching it.

The Pacific, ep. 2

Yeah, don't think I'll be finishing this. A TV series is supposed to have more, not less, character development. Generation Kill did this splendidly but The Pacific barely bothers with the characters and just hurtles us from action set piece to action set piece that seem a lot of bang without much bite.

Bit of Fry and Laurie 4.3

Imelda Staunton is on this episode. Interesting. She's a great actress but I haven't seen her do outright comedy.

And yes, I'm posting this while watching the show. Heaven forbid. And am enjoying it all the same.

I believe the character development is there but it does it more over time since it is 10 episodes.  I seem to recall the first one was all action but a few of the episodes is nothing but following and getting to know a few of the characters.

Good to know, it is coming through my Dad's side of Netflix so there isn't much cost to keeping with and letting it open up a bit.

Season 5 is just a despairing, black comedy-clusterCINECAST!... right?
And it's got Batman.

The Ricky Gervais Show

Some fun animations to go with the podcast chats that I had some experience with. Funny and random, the "let's pick on Karl" premise does get a bit old. Best in smaller doses I reckon.
