Thanks definitely one of those days when you need a hug or some goodwill.

Sorry to hear about that verbALs, but it seems things have worked themselves out.

That's why I like my job and on the basis I work. I work on a freelance/contract/open ended contract basis. I've been at my present employer for the past few years. I come into work, get my head down (listen to podcasts etc), do my work and don't get involved in office politics. That said it looks that my time may be ending with them in the next few weeks. The nature of the work I, there is always a slow down leading up to Christmas and I don't think they will have enough work for me in the new year. But as they say 'When one door closes, another door opens'.

It is very tough times for a lot of people and feels like it might get tougher, but I always feel if you ignore the knocks you get and keep going ( and believe in your skills and experience) then there are always jobs around.

My problem is my partner earns enough money for me to sit around for months..but she won't let me. Personally I find this attitude unreasonable. ;D

It's definitely gonna get tougher, especially in the construction industry. Just think of the thousands of people involved in the Olympics development, in the next few months they are all going to be looking for new jobs, jobs that just aren't there!!!

Sorry/Happy for you verbALs.  I hope all proceeds as it should and you are back to work on Monday.

Until then - good luck with the meeting tomorrow and be sure to enjoy the ensuing long weekend!

A bad experience turned into a really good day. Love it!

Glad there's a happy end to the story. But I still think you need a hug.
