The weather is warm and drizzly. Not the best for auctioning our house. Still hopefully in 1 hour the auction will have successfully.

it all went very well, the first bid was our reserve, so the place was on the market for the whole auction. Very happy with the price we got. Now it is time to find a new home.

Such a different process for selling a house. It sounds exciting! :)

It is exciting and a little nerve wracking. Sitting in the front room of the house while the auction takes place in the driveway, so you can hear the auction and see the people. Then you sit while the auctioneer gives the warm up spiel. Then it is the, what seems like, loooooong time before the first bid is made, then the worry if it is going to be the only bid. Still in about 15 minutes it is all over and either the house is sold or not.

It is an unusual way (in world terms) to sell a house, but it is the norm here, so we went with it.

Drinking terrific frozen margaritas I made with my new blender as I catch up on surprise new posts from Tequila and prepare a Far East Bracket verdict for Monday. A perfect alignment of stars right now.

Graduated from law school magna cum laude yesterday, it was virtual but still a very nice day. Also virtual makes it a very quick affair, but hard because I do miss the good friend I made over these past tough 3 years. A few tears, but fun experience
