So it only took me, what, two-and-a-half years? I hadn't even realised I was close to 3000.

Don't feel bad about it - I've been here 4 years and I haven't broken 1000 yet.

Posting out of the religion thread, but tangentially connected: I hear the jury's still out on...science.

Never let an Arrested Development reference slip by!

Heh. The German version of Idol has this guy:

You know, him, from this 80s band:

They've always made me cry.

Writing about On Dangerous Ground and The Racket.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

Avoiding the Religion thread, lest I be tempted to engage.

Also, trying to find more ways to procrastinate. This 18-page student essay in front of me is very daunting. If I usually spend 1/2 an hour reading/responding tor 4-5 page student essays, how long is this one going to take? *Sigh.* On a happy note, this student is incredibly intelligent and a very good writer, to boot. Still. 18 pages.
