FINALLY getting my luggage.  Ugh, it has been a hassle getting to Banff.  My flight was delayed enough out of Cincinnati, so I would miss my connection flight in Chicago, so they switched me to another airline that went to Toronto then to Calgary.  I get to Toronto (about 4 hrs behind schedule at this point), and I have to pick up my luggage to go through customs.  Well, no luggage.  No luggage for ANYONE on my flight.  They misplaced the ENTIRE flight's luggage.  I then catch my flight to Calgary, and we have to de-ice, so I get to Calgary about 5 hours (and 3 in the morning) later than expected with no luggage.  2 days later, and a bunch of conversations with Air Canada officials, I get my luggage.  They kept thinking it was because I switched airlines.  They couldn't grasp the fact that nobody on my flight got their luggage as well.  I have flown internationally 5 times.  Every time I have lost my luggage.  Though, this was the first time heading towards my destination.  It is much less stressful when you lose it going home.

But you ended up getting it, right?

It's stories like this that made me take everything I needed in a carry-on bag when I flew. Just seems like less hassle, but probably not possible if you're going on a big international flight.

Yeah, I just got it.  I had enough stuff in my carry-on (including ski clothes), to last me a couple of days.  But I am here for quite a while and it's winter, so I need a bit more stuff than what fits into a carry-on.  It was more about being stressed about not having all of my stuff for the trip, because there were things I would eventually need.

Preparing my first 'capsule review' article. Not something I am super keen on, but I threw the idea out to the readers in a poll and the 'yes' came out on top, so here we go.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

That seems like a lot of connections Ses - cost savings vs. flying from Chicago to Calgary?

It was just one connection, the original was Cincy-Chicago-Calgary, ended up being Cincy-Toronto-Calgary, it was just all the luggage hassles and delays that made it so long.
