The PS3 is great, but it doesn't have MKV capability, which is very annoying.
You can work around that if you use something like Tversity to set up a computer on your network as a media server. It's really simple. PS3 recognizes it automatically and then you can play any file on that pc through your ps3.
why not get an actual computer?
