...poking my head in to say "hi".

How are things going!?  So cool to see familiar names still everywhere in the forums this morning!  I found that game called Minecraft and I've been digging ever since.  No time for chat, no time for film. Gotta dig gotta dig gotta dig

Hey, ferris!  All my kids have been busy with Minecraft as well.  But I don't think they've been as serious as you.  Of course, when you are serious about something, it is the rare person who can beat you in obsession.  ;)

I've gotten to a point where if I just allow the obsession to completely take hold I can work through it much quicker and move on to the next thing!

Glad to head Never Cry Wolf made it so far in the brackets!  I'll definitely have to go back and read some reviews!  If I remember right there were a number of first round snubs that needed rectifying!

Writing about Bodyguards and Assassins.

won't be able to catch that at the fest this week - looks pretty awesome though.

It hasn't come out in Philly? It's been out on blu-ray here for a month already I think.

Hasn't gotten any theatrical release in the states.  Just playing festivals right now. Amazon lists a couple of DVD copies but no Blu of it at all :-\

I just found a picture of the first car I bought (10 years ago now). It had a horn that played La Cucaracha.

First and last car I ever owned.  ;D

Packing to drive from Atlanta to Cincinnati tomorrow and on to Toronto the next day. According to Google Maps, there's only a 7 mile difference to go via Detroit or Buffalo. Anyone made a similar trip before? Recommendations?

Buffalo side takes you nearish Niagara Falls? Sounds more scenic than Detroit. Most things sound more scenic than Detroit.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too.

Alright, I'm off to drive a thousand miles. Enjoy the next couple of days!

Safe journey! I'm excited you will be in Cincinnati, if but for mere moments.

cleaning out (up) my life.  I have moved over 20 times since 1990, how is it that I have managed to keep all my tax returns with me going back that far....

Studying for my film history exam. Really wish I'd taken more notes on Italian Neorealism.
