But I've got a few big days coming up.

How smart/stupid would it be to show up like 15-20 minutes before a movie starts in terms of lineup and seating? I really want to see Cave of Forgotten Dreams noonish (about 90 minutes long) at AMC but I have Ip Man playing at 14h15 over at Concordia (10 minute walk).

Not a good idea or it won't really matter?


And by the by, how was Red State?

edit: How was Detective Dee? That looked great.

N.B. I have my tickets already. I'm not talking about rushing to actually by tickets.

If you don't care about seating it doesn't really matter when you arrive, if you're hoping on getting front row center 2-3 hours in advance is probably a good idea. The lines are long.

I'm going to be on the Sound on Sight podcast to talk about Red State, so you can listen to that on Thursday probably. :P

As for Detective Dee, it was a lot of fun. A bit too long and the plot gets a bit silly and convoluted near the end but the fight scene set-pieces are great. Its a Hong Kong action movie so its not really anything I hadn't seen before but I enjoyed it.

Seriously considering a switch to a Poor/Fair/Good/Very Good/Great/Masterpiece rating system instead of the 1-10 scale.  Maybe letter grades, but I think the plain text descriptors are more meaningful.
