Taking it easy. No work, no Fantasia, no non-Fantasia films...

Just slowly writing some reviews.

edit: For the record, those reviews are Moonraker, Victims, The Whisperer in Darkness, El Sol. Not all of them will appear today, of course.

-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

Packing. I'm going to Scotland for a week, so I won't visit the forum for a while. I'll miss you! :(

I've prepared a couple of posts for my blog though.

And I've made a 100 list contribution!!! I haven't made up my mind yet if I'm ready to submit it. But it probably won't get much better this year. If I change my mind I can always start to work on the one for 2012 :)

Comic Con was alright. Really wished I skipped the panels and walked around the booths more. Also wished I saw IGN and Community. Ooooh zeee welllll. Good times. Found out that only roughly 20% of the material there are things I'm truly interested in.

There was a time (4-5 years ago) when Comic-Con sounded amazing. As the years have gone by and I read/listen to feedback from podcasts and whatnot, the more I get the impression that it really is much ado about nothing.

Heading to work for maybe the only time until Saturday. It's very slow at the office so I'm getting a lot of time off.

More Fantasia feedback to come as soon as tomorrow and some brief thoughts on two other films I saw recently, Cowboys and Aliens, and Captain America.

Are we talking from a film-only point of view or has the Comic in Comic-con been declining too?

I can't wait for New York Comic-Con.

I'm off to Boston for a week just out of boredom. My friends and I managed to get a deal from a family friend who is getting us a 4-star room for $80 a night (split between four of us). We will probably just hit the bar/club scene and go to some nice restaurants. Probably catch a movie too (30 Minutes or Less seems to be the group consensus).

Just finished scheduling an interview at Superior Ambulance Services, for an EMT-B job, for tomorrow afternoon, a bit nervous I am.

Thanks and will do. :)

My wife just told me about this exchange that took place between my daughter and her (great) grandpa today,

When asked whether her dad was a good dad Kaiti said, "No." Her grandpa responded quizzically, "He's not?" To which Kaiti said, "No, he's the very bestest dad in the whole wide world!" :)
