I'm now all the way through it. It's not long. There will be a review sometime soon. Next up The Scar by China Mieville, I think. That's not cast in stone, of course.

The first chapter of this, 20 pages, is a masterclass in efficient world-building.

You ain't lying. This book is good stuff for sure. I'm three chapters in and wish I could read more. Unfortunately I can't keep my eyes open.
