I've now watched this masterpiece twice.  It's one of the greatest films ever made and I'll be happy never watching it again.

Twice. Once pre-filmspotting, once about 2 years ago. About the same reaction each time. A good story, but I didn't have nearly as strong a reaction to it as others have reported. A middle of the road film for me. :-\
