2011 Best Superbowl Movie Trailer
« on: February 06, 2011, 08:46:19 PM »
Here's my problem.  I have high expectations for Super 8 and Cowboys & Aliens.  And those were my #2 and 3 best Super Bowl ad.

The best ad was for Transformers, but it doesn't raise my hopes or expectations for the movie one bit.

I apparently didn't pay attention. I did see Super 8 so I'm voting for that. Team Elle!

Hmm, it seems as though many of these did not air on the station I watched the game on. I did enjoy the Cowboys and Aliens one.
-Le Chiffre: You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire.

-James Bond: A little. But I won't consider myself to be in trouble until I start weeping blood.

I didn't see 'em all. Of the ones I did, I was most interested in Super 8, but mostly just because I expect little from the rest.

Fast Five, I think.  It makes me want to watch those ridiculous movies.

Is Super 8 a sequel to 8mm?

Limitless sounded like a good idea for a movie, but the execution looks shallow and uncreative. Still... I'm going to hold out some hope. It got my vote.

Worst part of Limitless trailer is when the dude says the drug is FDA approved. So why hasnt this guy heard of this wonderdrug, and why isnt everyone taking it? Lost me right there.

I wish Burger had actually written Limitless, but who knows, his direction and the cast of Cooper/Cornish/De Niro has me interested.

Super 8's TV spot was fantastic. It captured that "Amblin" feeling.

Rango.

caveat: I was really focused on the game. I probably only noticed about half the trailers.
