FYC 2011: Best Debut Feature
« on: February 07, 2011, 03:51:55 PM »
Please post the debut feature films (▼definition!▼) you are considering (and you would like your fellow filmspotter to consider) for the 2011 Filmspots here and check this list before nominating.  These initial selections are films that have been FYCed by your fellow filmspotters and carried over eligibility for 2011.

Any relevant questions whose answers may benefit everyone will also be added to this post... with said answers, obvi - such as:

Quote
Why is [this film] eligible for Best Debut Feature even though IMDb says it's the director's [nth] film?

The Best Debut Feature category recognizes a director's US theatrical feature debut.  Earlier films that did not receive theatrical distribution in the US do not affect a director's eligibility.

Are shorts allowed?

Yes (except in Best Debut Feature).

Can anyone confirm with certainty that André Øvredal's Future Murder actually had a theatrical release in the US?  If not: TrollHunter
